Senior Electrical Engineer
Client is a global multifaceted manufacturing company that has been in business for over 100 years. They specialize in engineering within the upstream, marine, power generation, and on - highway equipment.

Essential Job Functions
- Perform power studies on LV and MV electrical equipment using ETAP.
- Plan, design and analyze electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assemblies, sub assemblies and components.
- Perform advanced electrical system circuit, controls and power distribution design and analysis on generator sets, A/C powered well stimulation and drilling machinery and hybrid drive specialty off road vehicles, including electrical systems and sub systems circuit design, selection of all electrical components, wiring harness design, construction and routing.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Assess electrical engineering needs pertaining to new and existing projects and apply existing engineering design or develop new designs as appropriate to meet identified needs.
- Analyze complex purchased and fabricated components to assure functional compatibility to design requirements.
- Confer with vendors, staff, and management regarding product specifications and manufacturing capabilities to achieve desired design.
- Maintain documentation necessary to fulfill regulatory requirements including ISO 9001.
- Delegate work to and direct Designers and/or Drafters in the development of complex new designs or the implementation of Engineering Change Requests (ECR's).
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in power studies and analysis required.
- Familiarity with 12V and 24V electrical systems required.
- 500kW or larger generator sets, A/C drive systems, or MV switchgear preferred.
- Design and engineering experience in vehicle electrical design or diesel driven machinery preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SolidWorks Electrical preferred.
- High School Diploma or General Education (GED) and ten plus years of related experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Applied Physics required.
- Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
- Power Engineering experience required (power generation and distribution)
