Founded in 1997, Mid Valley Disposal (MVD) is the leading locally owned and operated company that services recycling, organics, and solid waste in the Central Valley. The Kalpakoff family has four generations of experience in successfully operating a solid waste management company in California. Today, MVD is being operated by Joseph and Jonathan Kalpakoff (fourth generation). With over 350 employees, MVD provides exclusive collection services to a total of 31 local jurisdictions and is permitted to provide collection services in Fresno, Merced, Madera, Kings, and Tulare Counties.
Mid Valley Disposal is currently seeking applicants for our dynamic Accounting/Finance department. BILLING COORDINATOR
SUMMARY: Will be responsible for the complete billing process for our company. Along with other accounting functions needed for the business.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WOULD BE EXPECTED TO:

Familiar with billing software and how to manage distribution of invoices through third party.

Manage all pricing and contract profiles within billing software based on contract specifications.

Manage price books for customer service representatives.

Audit pricing setup within billing system, as well as compared to municipality pricing reports and intercompany pricing.

Ensures accurate and complete data is entered appropriately, makes corrections when needed.

Reviews various billing system reports to identify billing discrepancies. Makes corrections as appropriate to ensure accurate billing following standard operating procedures.

Reviews invoices for completeness and accuracy. Follows up with customers or other division staff/management to resolve identified discrepancies.

May calculate and prepare manual billings for non-routine, complex billing arrangements.

May research and resolve routine billing questions and discrepancies. Refers unusual problems to higher level management.

Following standard operating procedures, this role prepares monthly billing adjustments, obtains required approvals, and enters adjustments into the billing system.

Researches and resolves routine and non-routine billing questions and discrepancies. Following standard operating procedures, determines the appropriate adjustment codes to process the transaction.

May gather and summarize supplemental billing information to accommodate customer billing requirements (i.e. City Billing and Franchise fee reports).

Partners with the team and management by quickly bringing issues to their attention, working to understand the root cause, and offering potential solutions.

Assists in other special projects due to business need and as work-load permits.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

College degree in Accounting or Finance a real plus.

Applicant should be self-motivated, safety oriented and be able to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
POSITION LOCATION: Mid Valley Disposal has 8 locations throughout the Central Valley. This position is in Kerman.
