We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mill Manager to lead operations. The Mill Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mill production, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of mill and moulder operations, set up and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Oversee daily mill and moulder operations, ensuring production targets are met.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and safety.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop mill staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Coordinate training programs to ensure all employees are skilled and compliant with safety standards.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, addressing any issues promptly.
- Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards of product quality, conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop and refine quality control processes.
- Maintenance and Equipment:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of mill equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs and manage maintenance budgets.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for equipment upgrades and repairs.
- Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the mill's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare regular financial and operational reports for senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field, a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mill or manufacturing management role
- Strong knowledge of mill operations, equipment maintenance, and safety regulations
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Weinig Moulder experience, preferred
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices
- Certification in safety management or related areas

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per hour
