PURPOSE OF POSITION: This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity and atmosphere of the PRC (Private Rooftop), reception desk and basic computer duties, as well as performing Guest List responsibilities. Support management teams as needed.
REPORTS TO: Front Desk Management and General Manager
EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Hourly, Non-Exempt / Full Time or Part Time
Greet and welcome all guests and patrons warmly at all times.
- Receive calls for restaurant, rooftop reservations, general inquiries, and deliveries. Communicate messages for patrons and hotel guests; among other inquiries.
- Responsible for answering main PRC (Private Rooftop) Reception phone line and transferring calls appropriately.
- Be well versed on all aspects of the Hotel & PRC (Private Rooftop), including all menus, daily events and special events.
- Responsible for keeping lobby, reception area, desk, and coat check organized and presentable at all times.
- Support Front Desk with In-Room Dining orders from guests.
- Assist with any guest related issues with efficient and logical problem solving skills.
- Build rapport with hotel guests & patrons, and communicate any potential concerns or issues to appropriate management team.
- Maintain a fun and energetic attitude at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
- Ability to multi-task, think creatively and take initiative with minimal supervision.
- Must have a strong attention to detail.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or Experience
Minimum of 1 year within a full-service hotel property or similar environment is preferred.
Language Skills—

Ability communicates effectively and professionally with other departments, guests, and others in English.

Knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
Physical Ability—

Regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects.

Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear, bending, stooping, and kneeling.

Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per day.
