The Senior Project Engineer serves as a member of the Technology team and will be responsible for providing internal application development, project management, planning, designing, implementing, and managing information technology systems and infrastructure projects at Everound. Will provide advanced technical support to Everound’s clients and assistance to technicians on the service desk team. You will be responsible for tracking each support task by creating IT tickets using a ticket-tracking system and keeping systems updated and running smoothly per the direction of management. You will be responsible for providing a smooth experience to clients with all IT systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide internal application support to Everound partners.
- Successful ownership and completion of projects to include systems designs and account management.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with partners.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- System design and implementation
- Design IT systems and infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security components.
- Implement and configure systems according to project specifications and best practices.
- Perform system integration and ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure.
- Provide technical support during and after the implementation of IT systems.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with other IT professionals, such as network engineers, software developers, and system administrators.
- Communicate project status, updates, and issues to partners, including management and clients.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers as needed.
- Team Leadership
- Team leads will focus on managing specific tasks or projects within a team. Guiding their team members to achieve particular objectives and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
- Team lead will be hands-on and be directly involved in the technical or operational work of the team. Will continue to perform individual contributor tasks alongside their leadership duties.
- Will provide direct support and mentorship to team members, helping them to develop their skills and resolve any immediate issues.
- Coordinate and manage the availability of team members to ensure project timelines are met. Approve or deny time off requests based on project needs and team capacity.
- Maintain accurate records of employee availability and scheduled time off.
- Successful ownership and completion of escalated Help Desk tickets, to include additional 1 level support to Help Desk team as necessary.
- Perform system maintenance as required by leadership
- Identify system needs and proceed with documentation as required
- Create SOPs for the department as needed
- Understand and manage all client’s systems to include but not limited to BCDR, RMM, EDR, Email Security, and virtualization.
- All other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 7+ years of technical experience required
- Project management experience
- Ability to oversee and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
- System Virtualization
- Microsoft Server Environments; Microsoft Security, Active Directory, Entra, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery applications

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Education: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability: Very High Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Mathematical Skills: Intermediate Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Physical Environment: Functions in a temperature-controlled commercial or home office environment a majority of the time. Work requires ability to sit, stand and walk throughout an extended workday (8 – 10 hours); position requires use of fingers, hands and arms on a consistent basis for keyboarding and phone work; position may need to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion; excellent vision skills (with or without correction) are required. The standard office environment has moderate noise levels associated with computer equipment, customers, and phone conversations.
