Some Medical Terminology
1. Schedule surgeries and maintain schedule (calendar) for assigned physician.
2. Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization from insurance company.
3. Complete insurance and/or disability forms for patients.
4. Coordinate Surgeons meetings.
5. Make physicians aware of their appointments, meetings, and surgery schedules.
6. Take hospital Consults and notify surgeon.
7. Print/mail or electronically send consult notes to referring physician for all assigned physicians.
8. Identify post op dates on charge slip on patients post op visit.
9. Check charts a day before doctor(s) clinic and make sure all operative reports, radiology and pathology reports are in patients’ chart, check patients’ current address and insurance information.
10. Answer phones politely.
11. Assist office personnel, office manager and physicians as needed or requested.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
