What You’ll Do
- Serves as a Tier 3/SPED level professional within the Multi-Tiered System of Supports working with Atlas Preparatory School students in grades 5-8
- Plays a critical part in social-emotional learning activities, pertinent IEP case management (logging services, writing/monitoring goals, etc.), and the facilitation of both individual and group counseling sessions
- Completes administrative duties relating to referral management
- Proficient in the practice of threat/risk/needs assessments and serves as a mandatory reporter in appropriate circumstances
- Work with students to further their critical thinking, problem-solving skills, communication, and collaboration skills
- Develop positive relationships with all students on caseload to provide individualized advising, coaching, goal setting, problem-solving, and effective mentorship
- Conduct intake assessments, create treatment plans, provide weekly therapy sessions, and work with teachers to create effective accommodation plans for the classroom setting
- Complete targeted social-emotional-based assessments and write subsequent reports that are digestible for families and teachers
- Maintain effective communication with families in order to build a holistic approach to student support
- Plan, coordinate, and execute high-quality family programming events and workshops
- Perform other related duties or tasks as assigned
Compensation & Schedule
- Annual Salary Range: $55,000 - $64,598
- Signing Bonus: $1,000
- Schedule: Monday – Friday; Occasional evenings as needed

Annual Calendar and Start Date
- 212 working days
- Please note this includes 3 days of orientation for new staff. Following years will consist of only 209 work days.

Who You Are
- Hold an active Special Service Provider license through the Colorado Department of Education
- Master’s degree in social work from a regionally accredited institution
- At least one year of experience with social work in a school setting
- Ability to work with students in a non-remote setting, Monday through Friday
- Ability to effectively apply Trauma Informed Care practices
- Have a holistic mindset willing to consider a student’s school and home life
- Possess a self-starter mentality and offer high enthusiasm
Desired Qualifications
- A valid LSW or LCSW
- Bilingual; English and Spanish
- Experience working with socioeconomically disadvantaged populations
- Experience working within an urban school setting
Essential Functions
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Willingness to be trained in physical management of students (CPI/Ukeru)
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed
- Must be able to abide by all policies and procedures of Atlas Preparatory School
