Our progressive and busy ophthalmic clinical research site in sunny Florida is expanding, and the research team is currently seeking a Clinical Research Assistant with excellent multitasking skills and a commitment to quality. We are willing to train the right candidate. Applicants MUST have the ability to perform EKGs and phlebotomy.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Research Coordinator with preparations for visit including printing and filing source documents, organizing subject binders, updating subject logs
- Implementation and coordination of clinical trials as assigned including development of source documents, creation/implementation of useful tools, receipt, and well-labelled organization of study supplies.
- Recruitment and coordination of the trial subjects, including informed consent, screening, and follow-up visits, while maintaining subject safety and compliance.
- Assisting with coordination and management of the clinical trial, communication with sponsor and regulatory authorities, visit coordination, sampling, time management, and product accountability.
- Data entry, collection of source documents, documentation of AEs, filing and archiving, managing monitoring visits, and responding to and resolving queries.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Intermediate level working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Well-organized, self-motivated, multi-tasking individual who demonstrates personal accountability for assigned projects
- Ability to conduct study specific patient testing as required.
- Clinical research or Ophthalmology experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- At a minimum, general clinical experience, or knowledge of clinical terminology
- Intermediate to expert level expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel
- Must have the ability to perform vitals, phlebotomy, and EKGs
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Role requires extensive interaction with patients, physicians, office staff, and sponsor representatives.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
