***Job Summary***
Stride Health Services is seeking Behavior Therapists / Level 1 EIDBI Providers to join our Twin Cities-based program, working one-on-one with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As a Behavior Therapist, you will be trained to provide ABA and/or EIDBI services to a diverse caseload of 10-12 clients whose ages range from 18 months to 18 years old.
***Duties***
- Conduct assessments to identify behavioral and emotional needs of clients
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on individual needs
- Provide individual therapy sessions
- Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to modify behaviors
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to create a comprehensive treatment approach
- Monitor progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records
- Provide education and support to families regarding behavioral strategies
***Requirements***
Behavior Therapist Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Candidates must qualify as a Level 1 EIDBI provider
- Candidates must pass a criminal background check
- Candidates must be interested in working with children with ASD
- Candidates must possess the interpersonal skills to be playful, enthusiastic, and bring a high level of energy into the therapy situation
- Candidates must be able to develop an effective rapport with clients and client caregivers
- Candidates must have the ability to read written treatment directions, collect numeric data, and summarize the results; in addition, strong writing skills to document treatment sessions are required
- Candidates must be willing to work well with a team and comply with supervisory direction
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in pediatrics or child family counseling
- Proficiency in coding for insurance billing purposes
- Knowledge of mental health counseling techniques
