Deliverables include:
- Monitoring Oracle systems and provide DBA support
- Responsibility for installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products; Monitor the applications and databases.
- Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures
- Responsibility for the Database design and implementation
- Implement and maintain database security (build, maintain users/roles, assign privileges);
- Monitor replication
- Provide 24x7 support when required; Perform incident and problem management and consult with development teams; Work with support teams for technical support
- Perform database and application maintenance, tuning, and performance monitoring
- Provide EBS SYSADMIN support; EBS user security (manage user access, responsibilities); Monitor and report on the concurrent managers and programs
- Installation, repair, patching, performance tuning of Oracle (EBS) Applications
- Cloning databases for Oracle e-business Suite, Patching databases for EBS and Oracle.
- Coordinating OS upgrade and patching activities
- Monitoring and management of database and application storage using both Oracle ASM and NFS. Some understanding of iSCSI storage methods and practices.
- Management of SSL certificates for both Windows and Linux webservers
- Tuning of performance, power planning, and optimization of systems
- Coordinating with functional teams and developers
- Control of databases, troubleshooting, administration, backup and recovery, maintenance of space in a 24x7 development environment.
- Review and troubleshooting SQL queries and recommendations for performance enhancement.
- Cloning of EBS systems and automation procedures
- E-Business application and database administration tasks
- WebLogic efficiency Tuning and Troubleshooting from the viewpoint of Oracle EBS
- Creating and maintaining environment run books and procedure documentation
- Emergency response in a production environment
- Managing of database processes which includes performance and backup monitoring, applying approved patches, responding to outages
- Responding to incidents and service requests submitted through GSEP. Work will not be performed based on emails.
- Manage database capacity
- Create, modify, and delete databases
- Performing or participating in the execution of internal and or external compliance reporting or audits on a scheduled or requested basis
