Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners at Wellsprings Wellness provide outpatient psychiatric services to individuals, including children and adults. These professionals will work in our office setting with a team of healthcare professionals to provide on-site services. They will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience as you work with our professional and innovative team. Our agency provides clients with a full range of psychiatric, counseling , and case management services “under one roof” utilizing an integrated care model.
Education & Licensing Requirements
- Master’s degree (APRN); Degree Fields: Psychiatry, Nurse Practitioner graduate program- Must have previously passed the state administered nurse practitioner licensing exam(APRN). APRN or MD or DO degree, Board Certified in Psychiatry;
- Kentucky State License;
- Current DEA certification (preferred, but not required). (X Waiver not required)
Practitioner Duties
- Provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic services;
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to present cases for proper treatment;
- Facilitate crisis intervention;
- Attend monthly in-service training.
Experience & Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to communicate well with all clients;
- Ability to collaborate and work well with all staff associated with client care;
- Ability to demonstrate strong understanding of patient needs when planning and implementing treatment;
- Ability to identify problem behaviors, provide advice and track development effectively;
- Experience or understanding of underserved populations, a plus.

Pay: $116,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
