Under the supervision of the IT Manager, facilitate the daily computer operations of all programs and departments of Jewish Family Service, particularly regarding network administration, maintenance and IT security.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field required.

3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.

Experience in setting up, managing, and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 applications.

Experience in developing and implementing backup strategies to ensure data integrity.
-
Well-versed in security policies and procedures related to data protection.
-
Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, operating systems, and networks, including common protocols such as SSL, HTTP, DNS, SMTP, IPsec, and Thin Client Deployment as well as meeting HIPPA compliance.

Experience in setting up privacy controls to ensure the security of data.

A strong understanding of firewall technologies and proxy servers.

Intermediate to expert intrusion detection system/intrusion prevention system knowledge.

In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and protocols, especially enterprise Wi-Fi Management.

Proficient in configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PCs and laptops.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently, research and find solutions to technical issues.

Able to exercise discretion and independent judgement

Must have valid driver’s license, car and insurance

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, including Windows Server, cloud server knowledge, and other business tools such as VoIP.

Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot hardware and software.

Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.

Install and configure server/PC hardware and software.
-
Monitor system performance and provide timely responses to system outages.

Perform regular system maintenance tasks.
-
Maintain user accounts and access rights.
-
Manage user PCs and ensure they are up to date with the latest security patches, including managing active directory.

Recommend system improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
-
Provide user training and support.
-
Document technical issues and resolutions.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.
