Assistant Women's Basketball Coach - William Paterson University
Part-Time
Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Attend practices weekdays and weekends, providing instruction and supervision of specific aspects of practice as directed by the head coach
- Assist in game-day operations and in-game management for 25 regular season schedule
- Provide administrative support as directed by head coach including practice planning, gameday prep and operations, recruiting, equipment, and camps/clinics
- Support program mission, culture, and student-athlete success through responsibilities in leadership development, team building, academic monitoring, and alumni and community engagement
- Willing and eager on- and off-campus recruiter
- Follow all rules and regulations of the NCAA and New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC)
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to academic success and leadership development for student-athletes
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills including ability to provide and receive feedback and professionally communicate with student-athletes
- Proven track record of reliability
- Demonstrates a growth mindset and a focus on the whole person
- Knowledge of NCAA and Division III rules
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Collegiate basketball playing experience
