We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to provide structure, consolidation, and analysis of financial data. The role will be responsible for analyzing and reporting financial information for the company's ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) and customer retention along with revenue and expense analysis and forecasting. The successful candidate will be able to translate complex financial data into clear and concise reports for management decision-making. This position will report to the SVP of Finance and Accounting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report financial data related to the company's ARR model, including customer acquisition, retention, and churn rates
- Monitor and report on revenue and expense trends
- Prepare and review financial variances between actual, planned and forecasted financial results
- Work with cross-functional leaders to support business decisions
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting ARR, revenue and expenses
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports for management and external stakeholders along with heavy involvement in the annual planning process
- Drive planning, analysis and coordination of department budgets and forecasts
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
Qualifications:
- 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Software industry preferred
- Strong understanding of ARR mechanics within a SaaS business model.
- Proficient in financial modeling, including proficiency in Excel and data analytics tools such as Tableau.
- Understanding of GAAP accounting principles, revenue recognition and three statement models
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- A high level of discretion in dealing with sensitive information.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working closely with Senior business leaders
- Experience with Salesforce.com and NetSuite preferred
- Ability to switch from complex to routine tasks when required.
- Ability to work to deadlines and successfully work on multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting preferred
