The SENIOR FIELD TECHNICIAN works as part of a team installing & servicing Patented Commercial Loading Dock Doors and Safety Equipment. The Senior Field Tech travels regionally to customer sites for 2-3 weeks at a time. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys working with people, excelling at meeting customer expectations and who can work successfully with minimal supervision.
This position offers the opportunity for year-round employment or flexible scheduling allowing for furloughs during slower work periods. All training is paid both at our Corporate Headquarters in Syracuse, NY as well as onsite training in the field.

The SENIOR FIELD TECHNICIAN will:
· Professionally install DL Manufacturing Overhead Doors and Safety Equipment at customer sites.
· Lead and direct other DL installers onsite to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner.
· Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting / service calls and resolve customer questions and concerns at customer locations.
· Conduct product inspection in the field.
· Work with clients throughout the installation process in order to meet client’s expectations. Train customer employees on operation and maintenance of the product.
· Act as technical liaison during the installation processes. Perform Q&A following installation of new products.
· Collaborate with management to evaluate product performance and to recommend refinements and improvements of all components.
Experience:
1-3 years of field service, installation or light duty construction experience.
Skills:
· Ability to travel regionally an average of 2-3 weeks at a time.
· Ability to read technical drawings.
· Ability to drive fork lift / Scissor lift.
· Ability to lift 80lbs and use heavy tools.
· Experience in using basic hand / power tools
· Strong organizational & problem-solving skills.
· Ability to successfully sell using a consultative approach.
· High energy, organized & self-motivated, able to work well independently.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Previous welding & light metal fabrication experience a plus.
· Must possess a valid driver's license.
$25-$35/hr
