Position Overview:
The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for generating and managing leads to qualify prospects and move them through the sales process for the purpose of achieving budgeted occupancy targets for the community. This position is also responsible for the development of the communities marketing, public relations and advertising programs to maintain a growing base of referral sources, and to promote the programs provided by the community. In addition, a key responsibility is to maintain a working knowledge of the local market trends and competitors to assist in development of sales and marketing strategies and action plans.

Key Responsibilities:
Understanding the Needs of Seniors
- Develop a deep understanding of the needs and preferences of seniors and their families, as well as the aging process, in order to effectively communicate the value of our services and amenities.
Achieving Leasing Goals
- Drive occupancy rates by fulfilling leasing and move-in goals through proactive sales strategies, relationship-building, and personalized guidance for prospective residents and their families.
CRM Management
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all relevant software programs, including CRM systems, and ensure accurate and up-to-date recording of data, contacts, and accounts.
Prospective Resident Enagement
- Schedule, organize, and conduct tours with prospective residents and their families, providing them with an informative and engaging experience that showcases the unique offerings of Galloway Senior Living.
Lead Follow-Up
- Promptly respond to and follow up with all leads, inquiries, and referrals in a timely and professional manner, nurturing relationships and guiding prospects through the decision-making process.
Marketing Strategy
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, including networking, public relations, community events, advertising, and sales initiatives.
- Assist with the processing of all required information necessary to complete a successful move-in.
- Work with the Executive Director to establish a creative marketing and advertising plan for the community.
- Develop and complete a Competitive Market Analysis at least twice a year or as directed to do so by the Executive Director.
- Ensure knowledge base remains current regarding aging, assisted living and dementia-specific care through continuing education.
Event Planning and Execution
- Plan and implement a diverse range of events and activities, such as seminars, speaking engagements, themed parties, and open houses, to engage with the local community and showcase the benefits of senior living at Galloway.
Stakeholder Communication
- Keep the Executive Director and other relevant personnel informed of all sales activities, outcomes, and opportunities for growth, contributing to a cohesive and aligned organizational strategy.
Community Outreach
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local organizations, healthcare professionals, and businesses to expand referral networks and enhance community partnerships.
Positive Brand Representation
- Foster a positive image of the community with referral sources, residents, and staff personnel, embodying the values of Galloway Senior Living in all interactions and communications.
- Monitor condition of all model rooms and respite rooms daily. Ensure that all rooms are ready for tour activity.
- Conduct morning walk-throughs of the community to ensure readiness for property tours. Ensure all common areas needing attention are addressed at the beginning of each day, prior to any tour activity.
Industry Knowledge
- Stay informed of industry trends, developments, concepts, and techniques in the senior living sales and marketing landscape, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Confidentiality and Compliance
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent information and ensure compliance with all Galloway Living Policies, as well as city, state, and federal regulations governing senior living communities.
Weekend Coverage
- Participate in weekend call coverage as needed, demonstrating flexibility and availability to accommodate the scheduling needs of prospective residents and their families.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred, or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
- Proficiency in English language skills, with exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Previous sales and/or admissions experience in the senior living industry, with a proven track record of achieving leasing and occupancy goals.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software programs, including CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales and marketing tools.
- Flexibility and availability to work weekends and evenings as needed, with willingness to travel locally for community outreach and networking opportunities.
