The Senior Data Analyst is a technical position that supports the development and maintenance of RCMS applications and solutions. The primary purpose of this position is to analyze client and internal data trends, support standard reporting, develop and prepare Ad Hoc requests using various reporting tools including Power BI, SSRS, Excel, PowerPoint, and others. Utilize advanced knowledge in SQL Server databases and SQL scripting to update databases and create tables, views, and procedures. Assist as required with client data loads, import summary reports, new client setup, and pre-project revenue analysis for potential clients.
In addition to supplementing support for a Data Analyst, the Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for handling and supporting the daily operations of the team. A Senior Data Analyst will take lead on all data focused projects that support the achievement of core business requirements. This individual may also provide mentoring, support and guidance to junior developers on the team.

Responsibilities:
All tasks related to this position are to be done in a manner consistent with RCMS policies, procedures, quality standards, customer needs and applicable local, state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:
- May supplement the activities of a Data Analyst II by preparing and submitting accurate and timely client deliverables (A/R analyses, biweekly reports, ad hoc reports)
- Provides support and assistance to the team members
- Assists team leadership with day-to-day operations of the team
- Provides guidance and training to team members
- Manages special initiatives and projects
- Ability to communicate with clients and internal leadership
- Manages protected health information (PHI) daily without compromising security and integrity
- Participates in educational programs to stay abreast of industry trends and changes in technology
- Possesses ability to professionally communicate (in all forms) with clients via email, telephone, in person, etc.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Analyzes data to identify and communicate trends to the operations team for all client engagements
- Demonstrates expert knowledge in MS Office Suite with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint, including expertise in charts, formulas, pivot tables, etc.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in SQL Server relational databases, including the ability to update and maintain databases, as well as create tables, views, and procedures using SSMS T-SQL scripting
- Organizes large volumes of data to effectively meet critical deadlines
- May provide support for the Data Analyst Manager in new client setups by analyzing raw data and creating database tables
- Assists Business Operations team in providing Pre-Project Revenue Analysis with prompt turnaround for potential clients
- Maintains multiple ongoing client projects concurrently
- May supplement the activities of a Data Analyst I by retrieving and reviewing raw files from various file transfer methods (FTP, Email, SharePoint), scrubbing raw files for pertinent information, transforming and importing data to database tables, producing daily/weekly reports as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education / Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors in computer science or other related fields
- preferred; a combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
- 4+ years of experience with SQL Server relational databases using a SQL scripting language is required
- Expert knowledge of MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel is required
- Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI is required
- Experience in data analysis is required
- Experience with integration tools such as Dell Boomi and/or Informatica preferred
- Experience with data extraction tools such as Datawatch Monarch preferred
- Healthcare and/or insurance industry experience preferred
- Basic accounting and statistics knowledge preferred
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot difficult situations and figure out a reasonable resolution
- Ability to pay attention to details and "think outside the box"
- Self-starter, proactive and ability to maintain focus with minimal supervision
- Possess organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with strict deadlines
