Castle Event Catering - EVENT STAFF #1 – Event Lead
Assists in properly serving the event guests, manage event team, pack all event gig & decorations, setup and tear down of events and . Hospitality and leadership experience very helpful in this middle management position.
Job Tasks
- Perform any and all event staff functions
- To have a detailed understanding of the event by reading the contract- asking any questions about inconsistencies or anything not understood
- Ensure that all catering staff arrived on time
- Ensure with kitchen manager prior to event departure an accurate reconciliation of hot and cold food items
- Ensure that all items are accounted for including all china, linen, carts, etc. prior to event departure
- Arrives at site of event, and is responsible to direct set up of dining room and buffet within the time frame allotted
- To establish a relationship with site contact first thing, and check in with them whenever necessary throughout the night
- Conduct a pre-event meeting once on site with event staff to ensure proper placement of all catering equipment
- Consistently convey to servers all duties needed to execute the event
- Close the event and ensure the venue is as clean as it was or better, checking out with venue contact
- Ensure that all food, alcohol, and equipment are put away properly
- Ensure that all trash is dumped
- Follow the linen procedure and ensure linen is put away at the end of the night
- Ensure that the truck is put away properly, to include front, back, all lights OFF, windows are up and parked correctly
- Check out with servers and let them know when they can leave
- When necessary, lock and alarm the building
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in catering or hospitality
- Training hours in Kitchen, Dish room, and Gig Room
- Knowledge of food and beverage
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to delegate and multi task
- Ability to work well with staff and clients
- Calm and pleasant disposition
- Ability to think and act quickly to find alternate solutions to immediate problems
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Must maintain a current valid automobile driver’s license and food handlers card issued by Benton/Franklin County District Health
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.35 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Hospitality: 1 year (Preferred)
- Leadership: 1 year (Preferred)
- Catering: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Food Handler Certification (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Required)
