Our two wildlife food processing facilities are located in the heart of sunflower seed and grain-growing regions and we are currently searching for a Mill Operator for our wildlife facility located in Fargo, ND.

2nd Shift: 4:00pm - 2:30am

Summary:
As a Grain Mill Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient operation of our grain milling equipment to meet production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Job Responsibilities:

Operating and monitoring grain milling machinery and equipment to process raw grains into finished products according to production schedules and quality specifications.

Conducting routine maintenance tasks on milling equipment to ensure optimal performance, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

Adjusting machine settings and controls to regulate factors such as grain feed rate, milling speed, and product moisture content to achieve desired outcomes.

Conducting regular quality checks on milled products to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications, and making adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality.

Collaborating with other team members, including supervisors, maintenance technicians, and quality control personnel, to optimize production efficiency and resolve any operational issues.

Following all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries, including proper handling of equipment, adherence to lockout/tagout procedures, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Job Requirements:

Previous manufacturing and seed cleaning experience preferred but not required

general knowledge of mill operations is a plus

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly and effectively.

Applicants must be able to work in a dusty environment, in hot and cold weather conditions and at heights.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have good decision-making skills and willing to take directions.

Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred, general knowledge of mill operations is a plus)

Comfortable working with elevated open grate flooring (higher elevations)

Forklift experience, preferred but not required
