Muesing Management, a local, seasoned property management company, is seeking a high-energy, team player who is a qualified candidate for a full-time Maintenance Technician position to join our team at College Courts of Nora Apartments in Indianapolis, IN.
In this position, you will work under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for maintaining all of the property's facilities in good working order. The facilities should meet Muesing Management's predetermined standards designed to ensure that our community's services meet or exceed our resident's expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of the community meet the company's established standards for safety, appearance, and operation within the budgeted financial goals.
- Managing an ongoing community preventative maintenance and improvement program.
- Managing the inventory of ready apartments to support the community's marketing and leasing efforts.
- Scheduling contractors, making available apartments ready for move-in, and inspecting ready apartments for move-in quality.
- Responding quickly and courteously to resident requests for maintenance service, troubleshooting the source difficulty, and taking appropriate action to repair and/or restoring service within the quality and time standards established for the community.
- Managing and directing maintenance/grounds team members.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1-year experience as a Maintenance Supervisor working in multi-family preferred.
- Candidate must be proficient in HVAC repair and EPA certified (minimum Type II required), plumbing, painting, electrical, pool care, appliance repair, and all other aspects of apartment and building maintenance.
- Responsible for complying with the company's and the community's operating and safety policies and procedures.
- Superb communication and customer service skills.• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize wisely.
- Professional image.
- Must have reliable transportation and own tools.
- The position requires being on-call.
- A background check is required.
