This position is responsible for providing homemaking, personal care, socialization, and respite care for senior clients to promote independence and help them remain in their homes.
Homemaking duties include:
Vacuuming, sweeping mopping, and dusting., cleaning kitchen sinks, floors, cabinets, walls, appliances, dishes, some light meal preparation and storage/maintenance of perishable food items. remove trash, grocery shopping/pharmacy runs (with client or without). Washing windows (inside only) and spot cleaning door frames and walls. providing respite care for primary caregivers.
Personal Care duties include:
a. Bathing (bathtub or shower), oral and denture care, including swabs, brushing, flossing, and soaking, hair care, including shampooing and general grooming, skincare, including shaving and application of non-prescription skincare products, Fingernail and toenail cleaning, Helping with simple exercise, ambulation, and transfers. Assisting with dressing and glasses. pari care . cleaning and maintaining grooming aids and medical equipment.
Other duties include:
Charting progress and observations. Abiding by service policies and procedures. Completing and submitting all required documentation, including care notes and incident reports. Reporting any significant changes to clients’ health to the Registered Nurse. Attending monthly staff meetings, safety meeting, and in-service trainings.
Minimum Qualifications:
CPR Certification, High School Diploma or equivalent, Current Driver’s license, working vehicle, and active car insurance with required liability limit of $100,000/$300,000. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Problem solving skills including critical thinking and reasoning. Ability to work without direct supervision. Dependable, self-motivated, and honest. Ability to exercise discretion and maintain client confidentiality. General understanding of the unique needs and challenges facing senior citizens today. Ability to follow verbal and written directives. Strong observational skills in addition to writing and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
Six Months of in-home caregiving, Experience working with seniors.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
