Position Title: Principal Network Engineer (WAN)
Location: Lackland Airforce Base, TX
Clearance level: TS/SCI Eligible
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Analyzes and simulates network traffic to aid in problem resolution or to test updated configurations in virtual or physical lab environments.
- Monitors system utilization and circuit bandwidth then reports anomalies to Government team leads.
- Designs, implements, and troubleshoots the most complex Enterprise network solutions and/or issues.
- Develops, executes, modifies or removes scripts to assist in automation of tasks.
- Reviews and documents all workload activities per incident or change request to eliminate rework or for auditing/investigation purposes.
- Notifies appropriate Information Technical Equipment Custodian (ITEC) or Property Custodian (PC), in writing, within 4 hours for all accountable item moves.
- Neatly bundle and conceal all excess system or peripheral cabling after each installation or repair.

High School diploma or GED.
- 10+ years' experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches.
- Must possess a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Must have at least one of the following:

CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Service Provider.
Desired Qualifications:

One of the following is preferred:

CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, CCIE Service Provider, CCIE Data Center, CCIE Collaboration

SME experience with enterprise network architectures and configurations is paramount and experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) is highly desired.
