Position Overview:
The General Manager at our boat dealership is a dynamic and strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of dealership operations. This role requires a strong business acumen, excellent customer service skills, and a deep knowledge of the boating industry. The General Manager will ensure the dealership's profitability, growth, and customer satisfaction while maintaining a positive work environment for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management:
- Ensure exterior and interior displays are set up daily and assist in hauling units to and from the dealership.
- Perform customer demonstrations of units and light service work.
- Oversee daily operations, including sales, service, and parts departments.
- Ensure efficient workflow and high productivity.
- Implement and maintain dealership policies and procedures.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure exceptional customer service and handle escalated customer issues.
- Foster a customer-centric culture within the dealership.
- Develop programs to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and develop dealership staff.
- Create a positive and motivating work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to drive traffic and sales.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to plan events, promotions, and community engagement activities.
- Utilize digital and traditional marketing channels effectively.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure dealership operations comply with industry regulations and standards.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in dealership management, preferably in the boating or automotive industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent financial and analytical abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for boating.
- Proficiency in dealership management software and CRM systems.
