Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ironworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ironworking, with the ability to erect, assemble, weld, and fabricate various structures and components. The Ironworker will be responsible for ensuring that all projects meet the highest quality standards, while also promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
Duties:
- Assemble and fabricate iron and steel structures, such as beams, columns, and other framing members, using hand tools and power equipment.
- Rig structural components using cranes and forklifts to move heavy materials and equipment around the job site.
- Use welding equipment to join steel sections and components, such as FCAW welding.
- Interpret blueprints to determine the layout and design of the project.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople and construction professionals to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Qualifications:
- Four years of prior Ironwork Experience
- Proven experience as an Ironworker, with a strong background in ironworking and welding.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Experience operating heavy machinery, such as man lifts and forklifts.
- A strong commitment to safety and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
Skills:
- Proficiency in welding and bolting techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.82 per hour
