Cortec Corporation, a leading manufacturer of corrosion inhibiting technologies, is searching for a talented Graphic Designer to join our growing team. You'll be responsible for creating compelling visual content that strengthens our brand identity and supports our marketing initiatives.
This position plays a pivotal role in creating compelling visual concepts and designs that elevate Cortec’s brand across various digital and print platforms. This position requires a creative individual with a keen eye for design, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conceptualization and Design:
- Create visual concepts using software and/or by hand to communicate ideas effectively.
- Develop layouts and designs for advertisements, brochures, tradeshows, logos, websites, packaging, merchandise, large format graphics, photo editing, infographics, and illustrations.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate closely with the Executive team, marketing, sales, lab, and technical departments to understand project requirements and translate them into visually appealing designs.
- Confer with clients to discuss design concepts and determine layout design based on their needs and vision.
Brand Maintenance and Development:
- Maintain and evolve Cortec’s visual identity including the corporate logo, trademark, and visual media standards.
- Ensure consistency of brand across all digital platforms and printed materials.
Project Management:
- Manage and organize the archive of all Cortec artwork and design documents.
- Facilitate the development and creation of graphics for external vendors, Cortec distributors, and sales representatives.
Technical Proficiency:
- Utilize high-end retouching, pre-press, and proofing techniques.
- Demonstrate knowledge of printing methods, paper, and other printable substrates to produce print-ready materials.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated with design trends, software, and technology to enhance skills and creativity.
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions to generate innovative design concepts.

Job Specifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field required.
Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in design and production, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in both print and digital media. Experience in chemical or related industries is a plus.
Skills
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Proficient in office administrative software such as Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Basecamp.
Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and branding.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to recommend and collaborate with outside agencies and vendors as needed.
Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and campaigns is advantageous.
