Job Title: LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) needed for Insulin and Medication Visits
Location: Peabody
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Twice Daily Visits 8:30am and 6:30P
Pay: $80/visit
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated LPN to provide insulin and medication visits in Peabody. The primary responsibilities include medication administration and management, insulin administration and management, as well as conducting blood glucose checks, twice daily at 8:30am and 6:30pm. The ideal candidate must have a valid LPN license and experience in handling medications and insulin. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential for this role. Key Responsibilities:
● Administering insulin injections to patients with diabetes as prescribed by their healthcare provider.
● Monitoring blood glucose levels regularly through fingerstick tests or continuous glucose monitoring devices.
● Documenting and maintaining accurate records of insulin doses administered and blood glucose levels.
● Collaborating with healthcare team members to adjust insulin dosing based on blood glucose levels and overall health status of patients.
● Administering prescribed medications, monitoring for side effects and ensuring adherence to medication schedules.
● Recognizing and reporting any abnormal glucose levels or medication-related issues to healthcare providers promptly.
● Follow established protocols, communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team.
● Prioritize patient safety and well-being in all aspects of care.

Necessary personal protective equipment is provided so that you can feel confident and safe when you care for your clients.
Requirements:
● Current MA LPN license in good standing
● Ability to obtain BLS CPR certification. (in house classes are offered at a reduced rate)
● Recent wellness exam and negative TB skin test (provided if needed)
● Ability to pass a comprehensive fingerprint/background check and drug screening.
● Ensures confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information.
● Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
