Job Summary: Soliant is actively seeking a dedicated Teacher for the Blind and Visually Impaired to join our team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on students with visual impairments. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support for students with visual challenges.
Location:South Houston, Texas
Compensation: Starting at $40 dlls an hour and up based on experience
Case load:Pre-k to High School case loads, placed based on background
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
- Provide direct instruction and support for students in various settings.
- Adapt curriculum and materials to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
- Utilize assistive technologies to enhance learning for visually impaired students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education with a focus on Visual Impairments.
- Teaching Certification for Visual Impairments in the State
- Certification in Braille is preferred.
Requirements:
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Teacher for the Blind and Visually Impaired is advantageous.
