Our LVTs and Veterinary Assistants will be the primary care provider working as a team with highly qualified feline focused veterinarians utilizing fear free protocols to provide high-quality care. Our philosophy includes providing needed community services such as affordable spay/neuter programs. We are looking for highly knowledgeable LVTs/Veterinary Assistant that share our educational focus and have the ability to educate our clients about their feline family members during our typical 45 minute appointments. This individual will also lead the team of case managers and support the continued education of our team.
This position allows for LVT’s and Veterinary Assistants to utilize their expertise in education, surgery, dentistry, radioiodine therapy treatment, and overall quality patient care. We believe strongly in continuing education and providing our team members with opportunities to increase their skills and knowledge.
What You Will Do!
The Lead Case Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the case managers helping assure optimal productivity and medical care. They support the philosophy and mission of the Community Cat Clinic. Ensures the team maintains a patient advocacy oriented mindset while being courteous and thorough in communications with clients. Responsible for training/mentoring new hires and participating in continual training and development of current staff. Creating a positive learning environment is essential.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Performs all the functions of a case manager.
- Any responsibility that would be required of an LVT / Assistant, ability to fill in where needed.
- Managing the flow of appointments and surgeries and drop-offs etc
- Making sure staff gets lunches / breaks in a way most convenient for the flow above.
- Handling day to day scheduling / assignments of medical staff (who is in Sx Vs rooms etc).
- Being familiar enough with all equipment / machines for initial troubleshooting (can be as basic as knowing how to look up manuals/troubleshooting online).
- Should any equipment needs arise that can’t be handled in house then contacting the appropriate vendor(s) or company for assistance.
- Working with the Practice Manager and Chief of Staff to schedule appropriate levels of techs / assistants each day for the proper flow of the clinic.
- Maintaining accurate inventory and order lists and working within a budget for ordering.
- Maintaining controlled drug logs in partnership with the Chief of Staff on site.
- Collaborating with leadership to support policies, budgets and goals for the clinic.
- A need for strong problem-solving abilities and thinking in a fashion that aligns with the mission of Community Cat Clinic and leadership.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or Associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an accredited school.
- Current License in State of Georgia, preferred but not required
- 1 year + experience in veterinary medicine
- Some leadership experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
