Production Supervisor
Job Summary:
Vinylmax is looking for a Production Supervisor – on a swing shift to become part of our growing production team. This person will oversee and ensure a safe, professional, and productive manufacturing line, while meeting company output goals and customers’ expectations. As a Production Supervisor, you will be expected to:
- Develop processes to support workloads and ensure each area is held accountable for their contributions.
- Drive continuous improvement with support functions and strong employee engagement.
- Be capable of defining both production and team member capacity as it relates to production volume goals and expectations.
- Identify team members’ talents to provide development opportunities that will facilitate employee growth and satisfaction.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions
- Utilize Vinylmax values to maintain a high level of employee accountability.
- Manages a production area which may include multiple lines.
- Management of Production Line Leads and Associates including training and directing tasks.
- Makes recommendations to Production Manager(s) regarding production associates’ performance, promotions, hiring, and firing decisions.
- Ensures safety, environmental, and quality policies and expectations are top priorities.
- Drives continuous improvement for internal/external KPI's with passion and professionalism.
- Ensures resources are planned yearly based on customer forecasting.
- Maintains adherence to company policies, safety and 5S practices.
- Adjusts workflow to meet production schedules and customer delivery expectations.
- Recommends and/or implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Encourages employees to use lean methodology for continuous improvement.
- Drives a “learning organization” mentality by supporting team member development at all levels.
- Encourages a speak-up culture so opportunities can be identified through all levels of the organization for robust root cause/corrective action.
- Develops, implements, and maintains qualification requirements to ensure all team members are adequately trained for the task being assigned and performed.
- Evaluates team member job performance and conducts performance reviews as required.
- Approves weekly time and attendance records for all reporting team members.
- Responsible for shift handover.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager and Executive Team.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors, Associates or Technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and work experience, preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 3+ years in an automation or production leadership environment or related experience
- Knowledge of machine practices and safety standards
- Window manufacturing experience a plus, but not required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; basic computer skills required.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency a plus
- Must be able to walk and remain on feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
