Job Overview:
As a Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring efficiency, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders to tables.
Order Management:
- Enter orders accurately into the POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
Upselling and Promotion:
- Suggest appetizers, desserts, and specialty drinks to enhance the dining experience.
- Promote specials and seasonal menu items.
Table Maintenance:
- Ensure tables are set properly with clean utensils, napkins, and condiments.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Reset tables promptly after guests leave.
Billing and Payment:
- Present bills to guests and process payments accurately.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions securely.
- Resolve any billing discrepancies or customer concerns regarding payments.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Assist colleagues during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and management staff.
- Work collaboratively to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required.
- Ability to understand and or speak spanish.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry trays of food and beverages weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Perform repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and grasping.
