Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our interdisciplinary team, focused on developing products for space exploration, medical devices, and robotics. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, a passion for innovation, and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary and multinational environment. Hybrid work schedule with office located in Culver City, periodic travel to Nagano, Japan headquarters and customer sites required (<10%).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and deploy electrical systems and components for space missions, medical equipment, and robotics applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to integrate electrical systems with other subsystems.
- Conduct simulations and modeling to predict system behavior under different conditions.
- Create and maintain documentation for system architecture, design processes, testing procedures, and other critical engineering activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations applicable to electrical systems in space, medical, and robotic products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues during the development and post-deployment phases.
- Continuously innovate and improve product design, enhancing functionality while reducing costs and improving reliability.
- Participate in peer reviews, providing constructive feedback on design and implementation strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in space, medical, or robotics industries.
- Proficient in the use of electrical CAD software for schematics/layouts and simulation tools for circuit analysis.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python and C/C++ and experience working with Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing equipment, and instrumentation.
- Experience with regulatory standards relevant to electrical engineering in space, medical devices, and robotics.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Japanese – Proficiency in Japanese is highly advantageous, facilitating communication and collaboration with Japanese colleagues and stakeholders.
- Component selection for radiation in space – Expertise in assessing and ensuring the durability and functionality of electrical components in high-radiation space environments is highly desirable.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
