Outside Supervisor
Department: Golf
Purpose: To describe the duties of the Outside Supervisor who is responsible for giving the highest level of guest service while communicating with the Golf Professional staff to representing the Club’s standards within our daily outside golf operations.
Reports To: Directly to the Golf Professional team.
Indirectly to the General Manager
No Job Description for a position can possibly include all duties which may be requested by guests or required by the Club. The objective of all positions is to effectively provide the services personally, or to immediately refer requests to the appropriate department manager. The following is a summary of the major responsibilities of the position.
Essential Functions:
· Must have working knowledge of the game of golf
· Must be able to lead and delegate tasks to others while maintaining a positive work environment
· Train and ensure that the golf carts, driving range, and bag drop area is clean and presented according to Club standards
· Oversee daily maintenance to entire golf cart fleet, ranger carts, beverage carts, range picker, and a carryall in accordance with our preventative maintenance program
· Communicate with Golf Maintenance, Yamaha, and local mechanics to assist with the management of the entire golf cart fleet
· Generate ideas to improve driving range standards, golf cart presentations, and overall appearance of facility for guests
· Ensure the security for our equipment and all guests belongings
· Responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels of golf carts, golf tees, range balls, towels, bag tags, scorecards, and any other supplies according to business levels and necessary for the outside staff.
· Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels and being the main contact to relay information between inside and outside golf staff members
Tools & Equipment:
· Golf Cart (must possess valid driver’s license)
· Telephone and Hand Radio
· Computer - must be sufficiently trained in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
· Will be required to use Tee Time reservation program following training
Working Environment:
· Cart staff and Outside Supervisor will be required to actively communicate with the golf shop staff and golfers
· May be subjected to adverse conditions - rain, wind, sun, extreme heat and cold
Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)
· Must be able to lift 60 pounds of golf clubs/buckets of practice balls
· Must be able to withstand possible 8–10-hour workday
· Must be able to work alone as well as work well with others
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
