Primary Duties:
The Facilities Tech is the primary contact for each location concerning all repairs and maintenance issues for building and grounds; replacement of furniture, fixtures and equipment; national or regional service contract and on-going preventative maintenance programs. Facilities Tech is responsible for coordination with and execution of facilities related repairs in each location as directed by Facilities Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaison with on site Management and Facilities Department on all repair and maintenance issues. This includes being available for consultation during off-hours.
- Responsible for maintaining systems and set standards to assist restaurants in properly maintaining buildings and equipment. This includes but not limited to, handyman repairs, HVAC, Refrigeration, and cooking equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining vendor relationships to ensure quality service/products and competitive prices are being obtained.
- Responsible for conducting weekly or bi-weekly store walkthroughs with GM’s and Chefs to evaluate restaurant conditions that are the responsibility of the facilities department and to submit reports to Facilities Manager for review.
- Responsible for utilizing R&M | Facilities Procedures in location and establishing communication with GM or EC (as chosen as responsible party)
- Completion of store improvement projects as assigned
- Work with all Operations and other departments in order to ensure effective communication within company as well as with vendors and suppliers.
- Assist operations with managing/supervising third party janitorial companies and in-house cleaning crews
- Assist operations with managing/supervising pest control companies to address any reactive issues or proactive services
- Support Operations in the preparation for all special events and/or buy-outs as requested
- Ensure scheduling and execution of preventative maintenance and required per maintenance contracts
- Maintain inventory of critical components in each location
- Submit all quotes for service to Facilities Manager for approval
- Maintain current status and communications on all assigned work orders, create new work orders as needed, and responsible for the timely closeout of work orders
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years facilities or property management experience preferred.
- Must have basic knowledge of equipment, construction materials and mechanical skills related to facilities management (i.e. HVAC, refrigeration, cooking/frying equipment).
- Ability to pro-actively manage vendor relationships and work in a productive partnership with all Company selected vendors.
- Knowledge of restaurant-related equipment preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must demonstrate excellent verbal & written communication skills and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and situations.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Available and willing to work various hours, including weekends, nights and holidays.
- Experience working within the restaurant/retail industry is preferred.
