Senior Human Resources Generalist
Overview:
Who we're looking for: A detail-oriented Senior HR Generalist to our client in Fenton Michigan. Under the supervision of the Sr. HR Leadership, the Senior HR Generalist will coordinate with the recruiter for recruitment efforts, conduct new hire orientations, and address general HR inquiries. The Senior HR Generalist will serve as the primary point of contact for supervisors and the hiring team, while also providing comprehensive HR support and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and HR policy implementation.

· Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations daily to assist managers and employees.
· Coach managers, create and execute talent initiatives.
· Manage tasks, programs, and projects both with the client and within HR.
· Provide strategic consulting to field leadership and hiring managers regarding staffing needs, compensation, performance management, employee relations, policy compliance, training, etc. for their respective employee populations.
· Provide direction, coaching, and leadership to junior Human Resources staff, as applicable.
· Collaborate with HR team to implement policy updates, process improvements, streamline onboarding practices, and provide training programs.
· Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of services performed.
· Partner with other HR team members for payroll processing, employee benefits programs to ensure proper communication.
· Partner with leadership to ensure compliance with all applicable employment legislation for the assigned geographic area, including monitoring and auditing local EEO practices.
· Conduct employee relations counseling, mediation, and investigations as well as handle employee grievances under the direction of Senior Management.
Ideally, have five-years of experience in Human Resources, Business Administration. Prefer Paycor experience.
· Bachelor's degree preferred, minimum of 5+ years of HR experience with demonstrated ability to exercise appropriate judgment, or any similar combination of education and experience.
· Ability to analyze, prioritize, delegate.
· Demonstrates leadership, ability to hire and retain high achievers.
· Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
· Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
· Willingness to travel.
· Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.
