Our law firm is looking for a full-time senior immigration paralegal who will work directly with the attorney. Our firm handles a variety of immigration services including: deportation defense, Asylum, Family Petitions, Adjustment of Status, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, etc. This person will be responsible for all priority and immediate tasks and be expected to draft a variety of professional and legal documents.
Requirement
- Supervise team members, assign designated tasks to each team member, and provide guidance and support throughout the case process.
- Monitor the progress and workflow of many cases, ensuring that all cases are completed within the specified deadlines. Address any issues that may arise, taking necessary actions to resolve them effectively.
- Collect and prepare all necessary documentation for various immigration applications with strict deadlines.
- Ensure that applications are free of mistakes and include all essential information required to meet regulations.
- Maintains consistent lines of communication with other team members to ensure questions are answered and tasks are completed.
- Monitor and report on workflow processes, and assigns tasks based on priorities and skills to ensure timely completion of work.
- Works with management to ensure deadlines and project goals are met.
- And other tasks as requested/needed.
- 5 years of experience in immigration law.
- Proficiency with office software including Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
- Super organizational and time management skills including meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
- Must be able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
- Outstanding attendance and punctuality.
- Teamwork capacity to include the ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in the department and the organization in general.
