Position Description:
Ecompex is hiring an Army Aviation Readiness subject matter expert to be a part of a team supporting the Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) G3/G4. This subject matter expert will focus on long term resource and training issues that allow FORSCOM staff to remain engaged with day-to-day tasks and requirements that need immediate action.
The position will provide technical research and analysis to synchronize the resourcing, manning, organizing, training, equipping of Aviation units. Candidate will support the FORSCOM staff in managing multiple venues and forums that track and assess aircrew, unit collective training, and unit equipment readiness. Candidate will also support FORSCOM staff in managing reporting systems designed to support reporting of aircrew, aviation unit and aircraft readiness.
Work will be performed on site at Fort Liberty, NC.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years military aviation experience and direct knowledge of United States DoD military aviation operations.
- Experience level equivalent of a GS13, Army Aviator, Army Aviation Maintenance Officer, or Army Aviation Maintenance NCO (Experience at the executive/Corps command levels or above preferred)
- Must possess knowledge of Army Aviation Operations readiness, training, sourcing, and data analysis.
- Must have operational experience with multiple applications to include but not limited to VANTAGE, and GRIFFIN.
- Must possess knowledge of Army aviation force structure, operations, and command relationships.
Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a Tier 3 background investigation.
- Must possess an active or inactive Secret Clearance.
Required Skills:
- Experience navigating Army aviation maintenance programs and acquisition systems and analyzing the data to identify potential impacts to readiness.
- Possess knowledge of Army Aviation operations to process, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of rotary wing and unmanned aircraft unit readiness in U.S. Forces Command with impact throughout Army.
- Must be experienced in navigating various Army Aviation and Army readiness programs.
- Experience in analyzing data to assist in identifying impacts to Army Aviation readiness.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills with experience at the executive level.
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Office 365 Applications with focus on Teams and PowerPoint.
- Must possess project and time management skills.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the Monthly Aviation Readiness Review (MARR) providing Aviation Training, Readiness, Maintenance, and Logistical data analysis.
- Primary responsibility to compile data and create the MARR presentation and documents provided to Army Senior Leaders.
- Review and provide recommended input to the Army Aviation Sustainment Strategy.
- Analyze/track from readiness trends for FORSCOM Rotary Wing and Unmanned platforms to provide leadership detailed information to improve aviation unit readiness.
- Create recommended decision and informational presentations, position papers, and other documents to aid FORSCOM senior leader decisions on aviation readiness issues and processes.
- Coordinate with other Headquarters and subordinate command to synchronize reporting of aviation readiness.
- Assess and recommend the prioritization of units, resources, and schedules to assist the Government’s efforts of achieving the most effective and efficient employment of FORSCOM Aviation forces.
- Monitor and provide recommended processes input for government approval concerning force readiness in accordance with Headquarters Department of the Army current and future readiness strategies.
- Recommend specific actions and resources needed to improve readiness.
- Create and maintain recommended procedures to track aviation readiness including personnel (P), equipment and supplies (S) on–hand/available, equipment readiness/serviceability (R), and unit training proficiency (T).
- Provide recommended readiness summaries on the impacts of manpower, equipment, organization, training, modernization, doctrine, and funding changes.
- Monitor monthly reporting systems input and provide senior leader updates including pre-briefings, summaries, and in progress reviews.
