POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Engineer will design, develop, and implement cost-effective solutions to improve the manufacturing
processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Establish sequences of operations of products that promote efficient utilization of equipment and labor.
· Create project budgets and schedules, as well as identifying and communicating technical risks, critical path items and risks/opportunities.
· Create or revise standard work documentation, including work instructions, travelers, and visual work aids.
· Build Bill of Materials (BOM’s) for multiple complex product lines.
· Assist with transition from research and development to production, including first articles. Lead the qualification/validation of new equipment and processes.
· Facilitate Lean concepts, while maintaining a stable and high-quality product/process.
· Explore and demonstrate new technologies to dramatically reduce costs.
· Support company goals by quickly resolving issues using a hands-on approach.
· Ability to deal with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, while understanding the impact of decisions.
· Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to acquire, assimilate, and analyze data from multiple systems and resources.
· Ability to clearly communicate issues and corrective actions to Management.
· Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred) or another related field.
· 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
· Machining and/or Fabrication experience desired.
· Proficiency in computer assisted design (CAD), preferably SolidWorks.
· Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement; Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.

Drug-free working environment. Combination of usual office conditions and manufacturing environment. Some elements in the production area may be present which make conditions less desirable than usually found in an office setting. Employees may occasionally experience exposure to elements such as odor, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals. The production area is a chemical working area; food is not allowed. The employee is expected to adhere to all Company policies and to act as a role model in the adherence to policies.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
