As a DSP, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our clients by offering assistance, guidance, and encouragement to promote their independence and well-being.

Requirements:
- Confidence in working with/around clients that exhibit aggressive/explosive behaviors.
- Years Experience working with the IDD Community
- Self-control and patience when dealing with escalated behaviors i.e. verbal provocation.
- Preferred 1 Year Experience with clients with frequent behavior issues.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and safe driving record.
- Must have a valid drivers license and NC state minimum auto insurance.
- Background checks will be performed on all applicants.
- Willingness/highly motivated to assist clients with working-out and building muscle tone.
- Ability to learn and execute de-escalation strategies to handle crisis situations in a competent manner.

About This Position (Habilitation Technician):
- All trainings will be provided by A Caring Heart Case Management Inc.
- Direct support services provide instruction to individuals to help them learn, retain, or improve skills for maximal functioning.
- Skill building focuses on self-care, household maintenance, social and communication skills, money management, social and community inclusion, mobility employment, and self-regulation.
- Services will be provided in the home, community, and day program.
