The Medical Receptionist, Front Desk/ Check Out actively supports and promotes the company’s values and will be under the direction of the Practice Manager.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them upon arrival to the office or via telephone
- Assists with coordination of patients, including preparation of electronic patient charts and pertinent medical records
- Facilitates patient flow by notifying the clinical staff of patient arrival, delays and communicates updates to patients
- Responsible for accuracy and completion of paperwork
- Scans medical records into patient charts as necessary
- Monitors and screens incoming phone calls and messages, while maintaining a polite consistent phone manner
- Collects patient information including personal and financial information such as copayment or coinsurance
- Abides by HIPAA laws and regulations regarding personal medical information
- Maintains organization and efficiency of front office, including office supply inventory
- Triage complex situations to the office manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
* 2 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE IN HEALTHCARE RECEPTION
- Works independently with minimum supervision
- Strong Customer Service and communication skills
- Basic computer efficiency (word, e-mail, EMR, etc.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance
WORK HOURS/ SHIFT:
- Job is Full time Monday-Friday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.54 - $16.88 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
