Performs minor mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on company vehicles.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses and completes repairs on all types of company vehicles
- Performs preventive maintenance
- Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing and waxing
- Performs periodic systems checks and daily maintenance checks of automotive equipment for interior and exterior cleanliness
- Responds to minor emergency mechanical issues
- Ensures vehicle maintenance supplies and parts are ordered and in stock
- Provides full service on equipment all seasons
- Checks gas and oil on daily basis
- Checks tire pressure daily and maintains proper air pressure
- Cleans and maintains garage area in an orderly condition
- Reports any system malfunction of automotive equipment to the Location Manager
- Ensures compliance with MAPS/WHEELS programs
- Ensures all vehicles’ licenses and insurance are current
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- High School or GED equivalent
Certification
- ASE certification preferred
Experience
- 1+ years of mechanic experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to work effectively with others
