As a Regional Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission and ensuring the success of our operations.
Summary:
The Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing all business and administrative aspects of the service center. Hiring, training, and evaluating mechanics and support staff are the main duties of this position.
Job Duties:
- Staff Management – manage all local employees including the tasks of recruiting, hiring, orientation, training, coaching, and disciplining - local employees may include administrative, mechanics, field managers, and field staff.
- Safety & Compliance – implement and facilitate new hires and ongoing training and maintain a culture of safety and compliance throughout the operation.
- Sales & Customer Service – interact with customers on existing business, new business, and complaint resolution.
- Facilitate new hire training and orientation.
- Estimates – work with customers and complete estimates for new work.
- Communication – interact with the entire organization as necessary and with centralized departments to ensure smooth information flow.
- Scheduling – schedule all work and employees. Ensure routes are optimized for overall efficiency.
- Site Visits – establish a schedule and perform regular site visits. The Shop Manager should be monitoring staff and work quality daily and ensure that issues found are corrected.
- Inventory – source and ensure proper inventories are on hand to conduct day-to-day business. Ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect inventory and that proper records are in place for all chemicals and other hazardous substances.
- Financial Management – assist in the development of and manage the local budget, control costs, approve invoices, and establish and work with local vendors.
- Preventative Maintenance – ensure that all vehicles, tools, and facilities are maintained per company standards and appropriate records kept.
- Maintain Purchasing
- Other Duties as Assigned or as Necessary – the Shop Manager should be ready to jump in and help where necessary.
Specific qualifications for the Sr. Shop Manager position include:
- Experience – must have experience leading field staff in maintenance or construction.
- Team Player and Leader – ability to lead by example and be a role model for a diverse staff.
- Communication Skills – strong verbal, written, and electronic.
- Problem Solving Skills – must be creative and critical thinker.
- Clean Driving Record – must have a valid WA driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Landscaping knowledge and Pesticide Applicators License- A plus but not required.
- Mechanical Inclination – the ability to operate various vehicles and equipment and troubleshoot common issues.
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds and walk two to ten miles each day.
- Ability to stoop, stand, and bend for up to 9 hours or more a day; lift tools and equipment; grip and squeeze repeatedly.
- Ability to use a blower, weed trimmer, hand saw, chainsaw, forklift, bobcat, and other tools and equipment.
- Bilingual in both Spanish and English a plus.
- Evenings and weekends – available as necessary to address issues and emergencies- A plus but not required.
- Dependability - Arrives to work consistently and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent, arrives at meetings and appointments on time, completes tasks on time, or notifies a supervisor with an alternate plan.
Fringe Benefits:
· This position is eligible to qualify for a 10% annual bonus program determined by senior management during the year.
· This position may be eligible for a company-paid car which will be subject to personal use taxes
PTO and Holidays
· PTO is earned at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked; the state-allotted number of unused hours may roll over to the next year. The number of hours earned will increase at the second anniversary and the 5th anniversary with the company.
· This position is paid the administrative holiday pay package: There are 6 paid holidays in the year.
