The Institute for Carbon Management is looking for a robotics Engineer to design, implement, and manage all automation, sensing, and controls for a prototype test rig. This position is a Mid-level position requiring 5-10 years of working experience in the field of robotics, industrial automation, and mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate would need to have taken a mechatronics/robotics system from the lab stage into a repeatable production environment.

Qualifications

5 years or more Experience in designing mechanical engineering products or relevant fields. (Required)
- Proven aptitude project experience creating a mechatronics/robotics system. (Required)
- Strong programming experience, data analysis skills, and skill in a range of languages. (Required)
- Ability to think at a systems level, interface between multiple design groups, and negotiate conflicting requirements. (Required)

Familiar with in all phases of product development lifecycle including design, implementation, debug, verification, qualification, and design transfer. (Required)

Knowledge of material and component selection criteria as well as design for reliability and manufacturability best practices. (Required)

Excellent organizational skills; Able to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously. (Required)

Excellent documentation and communication skills. (Required)

Experience with sensor integration and data management. (Preferred)

Has taken a mechatronics/robotics system from the lab stage into a repeatable production environment. (Preferred)
