We are looking for a professional and outgoing personality to work at a secure, front reception area greeting visitors and answering a multi-line phone system. We have free, on-site parking and are a quick walk to several Metro routes. This position starts at $14.20/hour.
Position requirements:
No education requirement, but must pass pre-employment skills test.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with a pleasant demeanor.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Position responsibilities include
- Fields all incoming calls on a multi-line switchboard.
- Provides general Agency contact information to callers when possible.
- Screens phone calls for identification of crisis or emergency situations, and prioritizes responses to such calls.
- Keeps reception area orderly and professional in appearance.
- Updates staff information regarding sign-in-sheets, buttons on reception board, displays, and phone lists.
- Sorts inter-office mail – ensures mail is properly delivered daily.
- Carefully follows procedures for releasing payments in person, following our security management plan.
