- Previous experience as a dental receptionist, medical receptionist, or appointment coordinator preferred
- Proficient in using NextGen or similar scheduling systems
- Familiarity with medical terminology and administrative support tasks\
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality

```Responsibilities:```
- Provide all residents with transportation to and from scheduled hospital and clinic visits. Coordinates medical appointments for all IRA’s. Responsible for consulting with clinics and hospitals, making appointments and follow ups, ensuring that needed reports from clinic visits and hospitals are obtained and filed for Individuals. Ensure medical reports and documentation is scanned into the agency’s computer system for nursing dept. and or Nursing Dept. remote review.
- Ensure accuracy and Confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Maintain appropriate medical care and proper records to ensure that annual audits are well within compliance as per OPWDD regulations.
- Monitor consumer’s weights and diets, at least monthly or when necessary.
- Directly and monitor the effects of consumer medications. Review each consumer’s background for potential adverse reactions, allergies, interactions, contraindications, etc. to prescribed medication(s). Perform periodic reviews to ensure consumers are receiving medications as prescribed, that prescriptions are renewed as necessary and that expired and discontinued drugs are disposed of in accordance with medical waste regulations. - Assist residents and staff in the direction of resident services including ADL training, provisions for recreation, group activities including assisting residents in the preparation of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks when necessary.
- Conduct fire evacuation drills as instructed by Supervisor/Residence Manager/CRS
- Maintain and complete accurate resident records
- Attend in-service training; keep up to date on developments in the field of OPWDD
- Works with families, including make home visits in regards to obtaining paperwork or consents.
- Any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Residence Manager, Coordinator of Residential Services, Associate Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer.

- A minimum of High School Diploma or GED and/or some college.
- Maintain a valid NY State Driver’s License.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Scannning
