We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level CAD Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in creating and managing 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models. This role requires proficiency in MS Excel and Word along with a basic proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD. This position will use drafting software to generate construction plans and drawings for the electrical trade.
The CAD Specialist will develop the ability to independently establish simple or routine drawings and will gain a working knowledge of discipline standards, codes, and systems through assisting with document preparation. The right candidate for this role will be eager to learn, problem-solve, should have basic proficiency in AutoCAD software and be reliable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software
- Modify existing drawing under to accurately reflect design changes
- Maintain a high-level production and quality while ensuring all drawings comply with industry standards and company procedures
- Ability to work to project completion against aggressive deadlines
- Utilize AutoCAD and other CAD software to develop designs and layouts
- Utilize Microsoft products to include MS Word and Excel
- Maintain organized records of design changes and revisions
- Generate reports detailing project progress and any design challenges encountered
- Conduct initial reviews of drawings and models to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Ordering materials as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certificate in CAD or Drafting - Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Basic Proficiency using AutoCAD
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Prior experience or internship using CAD software, particularly AutoCAD is preferred, but not required
- Understanding of basic construction principles
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to fit various situations
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Must be dependable
- Good problem-solving skills, ability to follow direction, and complete the tasks efficiently and on time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
