Basic Functions:
- Assure proper FIFO is always maintained.
- Unload incoming shipments into receiving area, and load returnables for outbound trailers.
- Move shipments to the audit location.
- Put product into correct inventory location while maintaining FIFO.
- Date stamp boxes with received date.
- Remove empty totes/boxes/lids from the line.
- Assist in loading and unloading cards.
- Maintain knowledge of inventory locations.
- Check for product that has been misplaced.
- Maintain a clean orderly warehouse.
- Plug Hi-Lo in at end of shift, and check water in battery.
- Completes daily forklift checklist.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
- Assure all documentation is error free and completed in a timely manner.
- Follow and support company policies and procedures as per ARD handbook.
- Promote self-directed workforce.
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, broadcasts.
- Enters shipping information in SAP system.
- Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes/rates.
- Affixes shipping labels or identifying shipping information on shipments
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Routes items to departments.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
- May direct others in preparing outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for unloading and loading, placing materials on pallets.
- Keeping the dock area clean and operating special equipment such as forklifts.
- Demonstrate stamina, physical strength, attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
- Move items to the staging area and make sure they are packaged correctly before loading them onto delivery trucks and accurately log every shipment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
While traveling and performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to various warehouse work environment where all safety rules and regulations must be followed.
Scope of Authority:
Has the authority to stop production if defective or unsafe parts or condition appear. Has the authority to reject non-conforming material from the supplier. Is empowered to prevent non-conforming material from reaching the customer.

Qualification Requirements:
- Previous data entry experience required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel and Data entry.
- Forklift Operator Certification.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
