Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital settings and possess knowledge of vital signs, medication administration, and coding. This position offers the opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma Center, gaining valuable experience in hospital medicine.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in outpatient or inpatient settings
- Perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs and documenting patient information
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Support patient care by preparing treatment rooms and equipment
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information about procedures and treatments
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient care
Requirements:
- Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting
- Prior experience in hospital medicine, particularly in an Inpatient or PICU setting
- Knowledge of physiology, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration
- Familiarity with medical coding practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
