This position is responsible for case management and advocacy for families of commercial sexually exploited youth (CSEY)/ high-risk youth (HRY). This position ensures that a trusting and collaborative process is implemented by serving as a liaison between caregivers and the Care Coordination team throughout an investigation and is directly involved in immediate and long-term case planning with service providers. This position focuses on the best interest of the child/youth by recognizing and identifying each family’s risk and protective factors, respecting the diverse cultures and values of each family, and establishing professional roles and boundaries while working with families.
The person filling this position must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, understand the value of quality customer service, exhibit a professional demeanor and high professional ethics, and maintain composure in high-stress situations. This person must also communicate well, both orally and in writing, and have strong organizational skills.
Essential Functions
Salary starting at $50,000/year

Attend team meetings including Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) case reviews, service status meetings, and family team meetings for youth in the continuum of care.

Support efforts to build relationships with investigative agencies and identified service providers serving CSEY/HRY

Serve as a member of the C7 Human Trafficking Coalition (C7HTC) and attend meetings on behalf of the Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas. Attend other area trafficking coalitions as time allows.

Document all services provided to clients according to agency requirements and guidelines in Apricot360
- Participate in training, continuing education, victim advocacy peer review, and care coordination calls.

Participate in the On-Call rotation, requiring after-hours and holiday availability.

Support efforts to develop and maintain professional relationships as a member of the Multidisciplinary team.

Travel
This position is based in the Lewisville, TX office, but this position requires frequent travel to all office locations (Bridgeport, Lewisville, and Denton) as client needs arise.
Education and Training
- A bachelor's degree in social work, Criminal Justice, or a related field is required.

Master's degree in social work, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
Experience

Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in victim advocacy or case management.

Minimum 2 (two) years of experience working for law enforcement, CPS, or DA’s Office.

Minimum 2 (two) years of experience working collaboratively within a team setting.
