We are currently hiring an Experienced Diesel Mechanic/Road Service technician in Cincinnati, Ohio
1st shift- 8am-5pm
Monday-Friday
Diesel Mechanics or Vehicle Repair Technicians are responsible for performing inspections, diagnostic testing, repairs, and maintenance on the vehicle fleet to ensure our trucks are safe and on the road. These Mechanics must be able to work with minimal direction. This position routinely requires moderate to extreme physical exertion and may require prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working in awkward positions. Diesel mechanics are exposed to extreme weather conditions and shop environment, as well as traffic during road calls.
- Perform repair and maintenance of company fleet in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Service equipment per company maintenance schedules and/or from equipment daily inspection reports.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs, adjustments or replacements.
- Perform emergency repairs on breakdowns.
- Inspect, lubricate, and service equipment.
- Check, fill, and/or change appropriate fluids for all equipment parts and check/change filters.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment support systems, such as electrical, hydraulic, suspension, air, and brake systems.
- Identify and perform repairs and adjustments to various components and operating systems on the equipment or related components.
- Ensure all safety devices on equipment are in good working order.
- Perform routine welding repairs to equipment.
- Maintain accurate repair orders, parts usage, and repair times through utilization of a computerized system.
- Perform routine housekeeping duties related to materials, tools, shop, and work areas to maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED, 3-6 years of related experience and/or training at a technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Welding experience required.
- Must possess a wide variety of tools.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; ability to climb, bend, stoop, and walk.
- Previous truck mechanic experience preferred.
- Must have at least a valid drivers license, CDL preferred.
- Knowledge of DEF Systems a plus

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
