Collaboration Center Foundation was established in February 2019, to serve and support the lives of families and individuals living with Intellectual, Developmental and Physical Disabilities, by providing the largest disability resource network and hub in Nevada.
Our vision is to develop a campus that houses providers, agencies and non-profits serving those with different and unique abilities, and their families. Collaboration Center operates as a 501c3 organization owned by the Collaboration Center Foundation, with the sole purpose of creating collaborative partnerships from different service disciplines, serving individuals, peers and family members living with Intellectual, Developmental and Physical Disabilities over the lifespan.
Job Summary
The Campus Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing the day-to-day activities of our major campus engagement areas including:
- Grab & Go Café
- Hydroponic & Community Garden
- Rescue Tortoise Habitat
- Campus Events and Programming
This position is responsible for carrying out tasks to ensure these campus service areas are running smoothly and available to campus visitors and programmatic efforts. This position is also responsible for delegating to and overseeing the tasks performed by Campus Assistants (mission-based employees) in each area, as assigned. This position will act as a liaison between Vocational Community Partners and Collaboration Center.
Key Responsibilities:
Cafe Management (please note – the cafe has limited hours of operation at this time):
- Supervise and lead café staff (Campus Assistants), ensuring a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for our diverse community.
- Manage daily cafe operations, including opening/closing procedures, food preparation, and customer service.
- Reporting on inventory and sales.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and health regulations in the cafe.
- Maintain accurate inventory purchasing and records for cafe supplies, including food, beverages, and equipment.
- Support with development and implementation of new cafe initiatives such as on campus and community catering.
- Other duties as assigned.
Garden Management:
- Coordinate the hydroponic and community garden, including planting, harvesting, and maintaining plants and herbs.
- Work with Programs Team to engage community members and partners to facilitate gardening activities and nutrition workshops.
- Ensure the garden adheres to sustainability and organic farming practices.
- Incorporate fresh produce and herbs from the garden into the cafe menu, creating healthy food options.
- Support with the facilitation of hosting non-profits, schools, and other stakeholders who may benefit from and/or collaborate with sustainable farming practices.
Rescue Tortoise Habitat:
- Oversee the daily upkeep and work with expert partners to ensure the health of rescue tortoises housed in habitat
- Work with Programs Team to engage community members and partners to facilitate Habitat activities and educational workshops.
- Support with the facilitation of hosting relationships with local non-profits, schools, and other stakeholders who may benefit from and/or collaborate in protecting wildlife efforts.
Campus Events and Programming :
- Coordinate with Programs and Campus Operations Team for rental and internal programmatic usage.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in operations.
- Previous experience in cafe or restaurant, preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Familiar or interest in sustainable gardening practices.
- Familiar or interest in supporting adults with disabilities in a vocational setting.
- Ability to maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Budgeting and financial management skills.
